Springfield Thunderbirds' sales, marketing teams recognized by AHL after impressive debut season

Annie Maroon: Things may slow down in the summer - a welcome respite after a whirlwind year - but the Springfield Thunderbirds' front office is only catching its breath before heading into its second season.

Last month, Thunderbirds executive vice president Nathan Costa brought several staff members to Phoenix for the AHL Marketing Meetings. In a league where, off the ice, the teams are more collaborators than rivals, the gathering was a chance to learn from other successful franchises. But it also provided a moment to recognize the Thunderbirds staff for the work they've done so far.
